The Web-GIS building nesters provides with the location and size of nesting sites of swifts, martins and swallows in buildings and other man-made structures in Switzerland. The source of the observations data is the online application PopMon. For more information on the building nester module of PopMon, please contact delichon@vogelwarte.ch. A map specifically designed for the canton Vaud is presented, which is intended to be used by municipal action planners in the canton of Vaud as a recommendation for demarcating breeding areas of conservation concern (zones de reproduction) for Swallows, Martins and Swifts. Please note that some cantons or municipalities use other portals as a reference for the management of building nesters sites. Please consult them.
